The market
The Showroom's second life. The room is closed while the drop is selling; once the seed is out it reopens as a listing board where players sell the airframes they own.
The gate is the seed being published, not the drop selling out. Before the seed, nothing has been revealed, so there is nothing a board could list.
Revealed tokens only
This is the load-bearing rule, and the reason is worth understanding.
After the seed is published, a sealed crate is no longer blind. Its outcome is a pure function of the final seed and the crate number, both public on chain, and the drop contract will even tell you the answer directly. Anyone can know the contents before buying.
Letting sealed crates trade would not be selling lottery tickets. It would be handing a free lunch to whoever computes fastest, paid for by sellers who did not. So the market refuses them, and pilots reveal first.
Listing keeps custody
A listing is an approval and a price, not a deposit.
An escrow market would hold thousands of tokens it has no reason to hold, and every listing would cost the seller a transfer they may never need. The trade-off is that a listing can go stale when its token moves, so:
- A purchase re-checks ownership at the moment of sale and refuses rather than half-completing.
- The board hides listings it cannot actually fill.
- The current owner can clear a listing left behind by a previous one, so a token is never haunted by an old price.
Fees
A house cut in basis points, taken from the sale price, with a ceiling fixed at deployment that nobody can raise. An owner who can raise the fee without limit can strand every open listing at 100 per cent.
Elsewhere
Airframes are ordinary NFTs, so they can be traded on any marketplace that supports Robinhood Chain. The in-game board still matters: it keeps trading inside the Showroom, next to the aircraft you are actually comparing, instead of throwing you out to another site.
Refusals you may run into
Listing a sealed crate, listing a token you do not own, a price of zero, listing the same token twice, paying the wrong amount, buying your own listing, and buying one that has already sold or gone stale are all refused rather than half-completed.
